Keerthi Reddy, the son of mining tycoon Gali Janardhan Reddy, makes his Telugu debut in Junior. In addition to its massive budget, this movie was noteworthy for bringing Genelia Deshmukh back to Telugu cinema after a 13-year hiatus. As the hero promoted the movie widely, Junior premiered on July 18, 2025, and received fair attention in Telugu states.

Junior day 2's collection

The openings of Junior were OK. Junior amassed 1.5 crores rupees globally on the first day, only in Telugu, as opposed to Kannada. However, the movie only made ₹20 lakh in Kannada. However, the debutante received favorable word of mouth, and well-known celebrities attended the second day, which resulted in higher collections. Junior earned a net income of 1.7 crore rupees worldwide on the second day.

With this, the total collections have touched ₹3.5 crore net, benefiting from strong Sunday occupancy. The biggest advantage for the film is the absence of any major Telugu release this week, giving Junior a free run. Additionally, Sreeleela, a very popular name in Telugu cinema, adds to the film's draw, with audiences flocking to theatres to see these big stars on screen.

While the story of Junior is quite routine, everyone is impressed with the young debutant. Keerthi Reddy has made a strong impression with his dances and fights. A well-trained actor, his hard work shows on screen. Keerthi even sustained injuries during the shoot but made a strong comeback to complete the film.

V. Ravichandran, a Kannada celebrity, also had a significant part in this movie, which featured DSP's music, who produced several mega hit songs. Variations of the viral Viral Viyyari are anticipated to become popular in the next days.

Following Rajamouli's plaudits for both the debut and Genelia's return, the movie—which was directed by Radhakrishna and produced by Sai Korrapati—also garnered some buzz.
