With a fantastic cast and the long-awaited reunion of a previous team, the much-anticipated action thriller Gunmaaster G9 is now underway. For their return to theaters, Emraan Hashmi, the star of the picture, joins with Aditya Datt, the director of Aashiq Banaya Aapne, and Himesh Reshammiya, the film's score composer.

Deepak and Hunar Mukut's Soham Rockstar Entertainment created the excellently produced film Gunmaaster G9. Genelia D'Souza, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Singh are some of the cast members. The movie is described as a fast-paced family action drama that utilizes stylized visuals and genuine emotional narration.

The initiative is the most recent one by producer Deepak Mukut, who has been working on successful genre movies such the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam this year.

The movie was hailed by director Aditya Datt, who is best known for his work on Commando movies, Table No. 21, and the popular JioHotstar (OTTplay Premium) series Bad Cop, as a turning point in his career.

"When we made Aashiq Banaya Aapne, we were young, hungry, and experimental," the filmmaker said. "With Gunmaaster G9, we're still all of those things, but sharper and more evolved. It's a full-circle moment for me." Datt stated, "Deepak Mukut brought us back together and trusted us with this film," and he conveyed his sincere appreciation for the chance.

The specifics of the plot were kept a secret.

The exact details of the story are still unclear, but Hashmi will be seen in a new, action-packed persona. By blending action with significant narrative themes, the filmmakers hope to make this movie accessible to a large audience.

Following their successful collaboration on a number of popular songs in the early 2000s, Himesh Reshammiya has returned to write the film's music. As with their previous work, we expect the soundtrack to be a major factor in the story.

Release timeline announced

Following the monsoon season, principal photography will commence in Mumbai, with a second slate of shoots scheduled in Uttarakhand to follow. At this time, the anticipated theatrical release of the film is set for 2026.
