Although its release date has not yet been confirmed, Anushka Shetty's next movie is titled Ghaati. The action film, which has already been postponed twice, will not be released on July 11, 2025, as was previously announced. The movie is about confirmed to be delayed, even if an official announcement is still forthcoming.

The postponement has several causes, one of which is due to post-production procedures.

The explanation for the repeated postponement of Ghaati is as follows:

The VFX treatment of Anushka's persona has been extensive. The producers weren't happy with how her appearance came out when they examined the results. As a result, director Krish has told his crew to redo the visual effects on Anushka's appearance in the movie.

Anushka Shetty gained weight for her role in Size Zero as she went back in time. Since then, she has struggled with weight issues, and VFX has been used to make her appear thinner on camera in many of her films. The same method was used in Ghaati, but the outcome fell short of expectations, leading to the delay and the ongoing revision.

Krish is known to be a perfectionist and spends a lot of time on post-production. He ensures no detail is overlooked when it comes to the look and feel of his films. Ghaati is a gritty action drama set in the mountains, where Anushka Shetty plays a village belle who goes all out in this rustic, intense story. Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu plays the male lead.

Meanwhile, Krish is also making headlines for his other film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which is scheduled to release on July 24, 2025. Though Krish was the creative force behind the film, delays caused by Pawan Kalyan’s political commitments led him to step away. Producer A.M. Ratnam then brought in his son, Jyothi Krishna, to wrap up the shoot.

Krish makes headlines for all wrong reasons

Although Krish is not given credit for directing Hari Hara Veera Mallu, many viewers are now impressed with the trailer and are applauding his vision. Ghaati has also made headlines for several delays. The producers, on the other hand, are undeterred and optimistic about the film's outcome.

The movie has been supported on a large scale by UV Creations, Anushka Shetty's preferred production company. When the team will formally announce a new release date for Ghaati is still unknown.
