Makkal Aatchi, starring Mammootty in his Tamil film debut, revolves around a common man named Sethupathi who receives a huge stash of money and uses it to become the CM of the state. Directed by RK Selvamani, the film was well-received and was a box-office hit. Mammootty’s Tamil debut was a success, and the film is a must-watch among memorable political dramas of Kollywood.
