The day of release from freedom

The theatrical premiere of Freedom is scheduled for July 10. Following the hit Tourist Family, the movie is Sasikumar's second release of the year. Notably, the actor-director portrays a Sri Lankan Tamil in both movies.

Freedom trailer

The producers of Freedom released the trailer, giving viewers a taste of what to anticipate. It illustrates how Sri Lankan Tamil refugees seek refuge in India, but after a high-profile crime occurs, they are subjected to severe torture in the guise of an inquiry. The trailer depicts the refugees' uprising for freedom as the rebellion ultimately erupts.

Freedom cast and crew

Sasikumar and Lijomol Jose head up the cast of the movie. Others include Boys Manikandan, Ramesh Khanna, Sudev Nair, Bose Venkat, and many more. Pandiyan Parasuraman is the producer of the movie, which was written and directed by Sathyasiva. NS Uthayakumar is cranking the camera, and Ghibran is in charge of the music for the technical staff. The Freedom Plot

Freedom's plot is based on real events that happened in the 1990s, shortly after the murder of Rajiv Gandhi, the former prime minister of India. Following the arrest and detention of numerous Sri Lankan Tamil refugees at the Vellore Fort under the guise of an investigation, they were believed to be LTTE members. They quickly started tunneling underground through the restroom, which took them to the moat and ultimately allowed them to flee.

Ott partner for freedom

The developers have not yet revealed Freedom's OTT companion. In August, the movie is anticipated to be available for streaming.
