Fans have been anticipating the humorous experience that Saiju Kurup's latest flick, Flask, is sure to provide in theatres ever since its announcement. Here is all you need to know about the comedic drama before it opens in theatres on July 18.

Flask release date

The film will hit the big screen on July 18. No further Malayalam releases are scheduled for that day. However, it will run in theatres with Suresh Gopi's courtroom drama, Janaki V v/s State of Kerala.

An overview of the life of PSO Jyothi Kumar, a talented singer and police officer, is given in the trailer. It also makes reference to his new position as a stern judge's security guard. However, the two seem to be held captive by Maoists, which causes chaos in their life. All things considered, the trailer points to a humorous comedic drama.

The film has a U/A certification and is one hour and 56 minutes long.

Siddarth Bharathan, Suresh Krishna, Balachandran Chullikkad, and Aswathy Sreekanth all played significant roles in this movie. Rahul Riji Nair, who is well known for helming films like Kho-Kho and Keedam, is directing this one. His most recent web series, Jai Mahendran, can be seen on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium. The camera work has been handled by Jayakrishnan Vijayan, while Christy Sebastian serves as the editor. Sidhartha Pradeep composed the soundtracks for Flask. 

Flask plot

Jyothi Kumar, who has always aspired to be a singer, joins the police force. He was made the personal security guard for Venkitesh Balaji, the intolerant judge. Their situation gets worse when they are abducted by a Maoist group led by Commander Ganeshan. Their desperate fight for survival as they face a fatal predicament together is the primary theme of the film.

The film's post-theatrical streaming rights have not been disclosed by the producers. However, it was expected to be available on a well-known OTT website after its theatrical run.
