The only three films that Dileesh Pothan, a Malayali director, has directed are his own. Nevertheless, Dileesh Pothan has made a name for himself as a well-known director with his Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, and Joji. It's interesting to note that Fahadh Faasil is the star of all three movies. In a recent interview, Dileesh Pothan confessed that he had thought about Soubin Shahir and Vinayakan for the part of the thief in Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, which Fahadh ultimately won and won him a National Award.

Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum was not Fahadh Faasil's first pick.

Fahadh Faasil plays a thief in the 2017 Malayalam film Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, which also features Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu. In a recent interview with The New Indian Express, Dileesh Pothan stated that he had initially considered Soubin Shahir, the first actor, for the part of the thief, while Fahadh was supposed to play Prasad, which was ultimately played by Suraj Venjaramoodu.

The team had to reevaluate the casting decisions because of scheduling difficulties, but Soubin was preoccupied at the time with his directorial project Parava, he said.

With Fahadh portraying the role of the husband, the filmmaker went on to say that the crew did not want to "replicate the dynamic from Maheshinte Prathikaram." They looked at other possibilities and even thought about Vinayakan, the star of the Kammatti Paadam movie, for the part. However, Dileesh said that Fahadh was chosen to play the thief in the end.

In addition, Dileesh Pothan has appeared in a number of movies. He was last seen working as a police officer in Shahi Kabir's Ronth, where he received favorable reviews.

On OTT, where can I see Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum?

The story of Prasad and Srija, who wed in spite of opposition from Srija's family, is told in the movie. A thief takes Srija's gold necklace after the couple relocates to a different community, even though they are having trouble making ends meet. The police and the couple are now attempting to recover the chain from the thief.

The National Award for Best Supporting Actor went to Fahadh Faasil for his subtle portrayal. Additionally, Nimisha Sajayan made her acting debut in the movie.
