4 months ago | 5 Views
The Kannada comedy Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana, starring Diganth Manchale in the title role alongside newcomers Dhanu Harsha and Nidhi Subbaiah, will conclude its theatrical run on July 10, 2025. On social media, producer Rajesh Keelambi said that the movie had been in theaters for 25 days and will now be available on OTT. Although he didn't name the digital streaming provider, he did say that it will be available to stream soon.
Prime Video will host the accident that caused it
As Amazon Prime Video has acquired Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana, OTTplay's source predicts that it may be available on OTT in a week. On or before July 15, the film is anticipated to be released on the platform. The last Kannada film to be released on the platform was Ajai Rao's Yuddhakaanda Chapter 2, and it has been quite some time since then.

The accident at Edagaiye Karana was promoted as a dark comedy, with many of the jokes centered on death and Lohith's attempts to avoid getting into problems. Nidhi, his Pancharangi co-star, has hardly anything to contribute, but Dhanu Harsha is a good match for Diganth. One of the highlights of Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana is Nirup Bhandari's crucial cameo appearance.
Only a small percentage of the roughly 130 films released in the first six months of the year have made their way to OTT thus far. Only nine titles in the second quarter of the year, all of which were released on Amazon Prime Video with the exception of Agnyathavasi, caused the mishap at Edagaiye. Although Sun NXT has mostly been acquiring older titles that are not exclusive and seeking a second streamer, such as Laughing Buddha, Vidyapati, etc., Agnyathavasi is the only Kannada film to have made it to Z5 this year.
