The report from Viraatapalem PC Meena sparks a plagiarism debate

In further detail, the producers of Viraatapalem – P C Meena Reporting have been charged with plagiarism by ETV Win. They claim that the producers of Viraatapalem – P C Meena Reporting stole the plot and concept from their upcoming show, Constable Kanakam.

Prasanth Kumar Dimmala, the director of Constable Kanakam, told the press that he had submitted the story and screenplay of Constable Kanakam to Zee5 a long time ago, and they had produced a web series with the same plot and characters called Viraatapalem – P C Meena Reporting. Prasanth said that his team would file a lawsuit against Zee5 in this matter after registering the show with ETV Win in 2022.

In Constable Kanakam, Varsha Bollama plays the main character, while in Viraatapalem – P C Meena Reporting, the future actress Abhignya Vuthaluru will be seen as the star. The story centers around a female cop who arrives in a tiny town to look into a case where brides are inexplicably murdered on their wedding nights.

Prasanth, the director of Constable Kanakam, fires on Zee 5

The makers of the Zee5 program just outright copied my idea and produced Viraatapalem – P C Meena Reporting without even requesting my permission, according to director Prasanth. The inquiry is currently underway after a complaint has been submitted. P C Meena Reporting's Viraatapalem has generated a respectable buzz and will soon be accessible on Zee5.
