Although the Malayalam movie, Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal, has not yet begun production, it is still in the news because director Jeethu Joseph has already revealed some details in interviews. One example of this is when the director of Dirshyam discussed how people, including Georgekutty's family, change over time, and how this will also be seen in the third installment of the wildly successful film series. This statement about Georgekutty's daughters, though, has given rise to additional conjecture as to if one of them will betray the family.

In the film Drishyam, Mohanlal plays Georgekutty, an ordinary man who does everything he can to defend his wife and children after a murder occurs in his home. In the movie, Ansiba Hassan portrays the older daughter Anju, Esther Anil portrays the younger Anu, and Meena plays the wife.
In a recent chat with World Movie Media, Jeethu Joseph stated, "There might be differences between the elder and younger daughters in the third part." They could also alter with time and age. If they change, particularly in the kids, what challenges would they encounter?
Jeethu Joseph restated that people evolve over time and added that he couldn't even foresee how Gerogekutty would develop in the third installment. As a result of this statement, there has been conjecture over whether Anu, the younger daughter, will betray the family or whether Georgekutty will eventually tell all.
What is the plot of Drishyam?
In the 2013 movie Drishyam, Georgekutty's idyllic existence with his family in a little hill village in Kerala is shattered when a young man, who harasses her daughter, is murdered. Despite being the son of a high-ranking police officer, IG Geetha Prabhakar, Georgekutty manages to outwit the law.
Drishyam 2, which was released in 2021, shows that, despite the fact that the police are still keeping an eye on the family six years after the first incident, Georgekutty is once again able to get away with it.
It is noteworthy that Anu does share the events at her house with a classmate in the second movie, only to discover that this 'friend' was also a police plot. It also lends credence to the notion that she may have caused her family's demise, either consciously or unconsciously.
In contrast, Drishyam 3 will begin filming this October.
