Diljit Dosanjh is all set to be seen in ZEE5's upcoming thriller, Detective Sherdil. He will play the role of a detective who solves cases with his twists and style. The thriller will also be available for streaming on OTTplay Premium once it releases on June 20. Ahead of the release, the makers dropped the trailer today, June 10.

On June 10, ZEE5 released the trailer of Detective Sherdil. The trailer shows a billionaire’s mysterious murder, played by Boman Irani. One young boy shoots him and puts his car on a bomb blast, thus the billionaire is found gruesomely murdered in Budapest. Then enters Diljit Dsoanjh as Detective Sherdil. The trailer also introduces Natasha (Diana Penty), a brilliant investigator with a mind as sharp as her presence is striking. 

The case becomes more and more convoluted and unpredictable as the pair uncovers the complicated network of family secrets, betrayal, and billion-dollar motivations. A fascinating game of deception ensues, with each suspect concealing a hidden secret and each new disclosure turning the narrative upside down.

Additionally, Diljit exclaims "I think I got it" at the conclusion of the trailer. The movie will be a thrill, mystery, and good time rollercoaster. The trailer was posted on ZEE5 with the caption, "A murder with many suspects. And a sher with the chaabi to everyone's dil." Are you prepared?

"It has been fun for me to play Detective Sherdil," Diljit remarked about the movie. I have tried a different approach to this mindset and the character eccentricities. I hope viewers like this persona and the movie.

But on the other hand, Boman Irani claimed that even when Pankaj Bhatti isn't around, his character still attracts attention. His inner turmoil and unspoken remorse are what really make him fascinating, even if his personality has established an empire.

"Detective Sherdil" is a captivating tale of control, power, and secrets, and it was this complexity that drew me in. I found it a joy to work under Ravi Chhabriya's guidance because he has a thorough understanding of performance and emotion, which enhances every scenario," Irani said.

Diana Penty described Natasha as one of the most realistic roles she has performed. According to her, Natasha is bright and lives by logic, organization, and accuracy.

Chunky Panday, on the other hand, stated, "I had a great time playing him because there's more to him than meets the eye. The ensemble cast created a lively atmosphere on set, and Detective Sherdil is packed with surprises and humor.

In the interim, Detective Sherdil, created by Himanshu Mehra, Ali Abbas Zafar, Rohini Singh, and Manmeet Singh, will debut on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium on June 20, 2025.
