According to sources, KD The Devil, the upcoming Prem picture starring Action Prince Dhruva Sarja and produced by KVN Productions, is aiming for an early September theatrical debut, with September 4 being the most likely day. Earlier, it was stated that the creators were alright with a theatrical release in August, but they ultimately chose against it because Arjun Janya's directorial debut, 45, will be released for Independence Day.

KD teaser to drop on...

With a teaser launch planned for next week, the team is reportedly getting ready to start a complete promotional campaign soon. Considering that KD The crew is considering generating enough buzz for The Devil's nationwide release in the next several days. The teaser is scheduled to be published on July 10, 2025, according to a source.

KD is a historical action drama set in the 1970s. According to reports, the story of The Devil is based on actual events from the time and explores the city's underbelly. Among others, Sanjay Dutt, V Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, and Shilpa Shetty appear in the movie.

In the meantime, Dhruva's previous film was Martin, which was directed by AP Arjun and got such bad reviews that the producers used copyright strikes against anyone who expressed a bad word. Because of this action, Dhruva's reputation has suffered significantly both inside and outside of Karnataka, and KD's team will need to put a lot of effort into rehabilitating the film for its pan-India debut.

Prem's recent track record as a director has not been the most reassuring either; his most recent film, Ek Love Ya, made no impression at the box office, and The Villain, which came before it, had a good start because of its star cast—Sudeep, Shivarajkumar, and Amy Jackson—but then fizzled out.

KD will compete with Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4, Tejja Sajja's Mirai, Sivakarthikeyan's Madharasi, and other films when it is released on September 4.
