Darshan's The Devil Drops New Motion Poster, Hints at Year-End Release

The fans of Challenging Star Darshan are overjoyed by the release of a new motion poster for his forthcoming film, The Devil. The poster teases an upcoming release date announcement, fueling rumors that Prakash Veer's film may actually be released in theaters in 2025. For a last 10-day schedule, the crew is now in Thailand to finish filming. According to rumors, the producers are aiming for a December 2025 launch for The Devil.
The Devil would have been released in December 2024 if everything had gone according to schedule. However, this plot was thwarted when Darshan was taken into custody in June of last year in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, for which he is now free on bail. Due to health problems, Darshan took some time off following his release from prison before resuming filming, but the crew has been working tirelessly ever since to finish the movie.
With The Devil, Darshan hopes to replicate Kaatera's year-end success.
Kaatera, Darshan's most recent film, was released at the end of December 2023 and went on to become a smash hit in theaters. With The Devil, he was hoping for a recurrence a year later, but the current objective is to have the movie in theaters by the end of 2025. Intriguingly, Kiccha Sudeep is also attempting for that window, as he had occupied the position left by The Devil the previous year with his movie Max, which went on to become one of the year's top earners.
Sudeep is working on an unnamed project with Max director Vijay Kartikeyaa that he hopes to have out for Christmas. He believes it to be a challenging but attainable goal. The release date of KD The Devil, directed by Dhruva Sarja, is also up for debate. A September release date was rumored, which is now stated to be November. It is said that director Prem will soon be working with Darshan, and he will want to avoid a conflict with The Devil.
For a Christmas 2025 launch, The Devil is now the most probable option. Soon, the formal announcement is anticipated. Rachana Rai plays the protagonist in the movie, with Sharmiela Mandre, Achyuth Kumar, Vinay Gowda, and Chandu Gowda all playing significant roles. Mahesh Manjrekar, an actor-director, is the main villain.
