The official announcement has now arrived, despite the fact that it was said to start in early August. The premiere date for the seventh season of the well-liked Malayalam reality series Bigg Boss Malayalam is set. The show, which is hosted by Malayalam celebrity Mohanlal, will have its grand premiere on Asianet, the channel that is broadcasting it. Today, Asianet released a commercial for the event. The live broadcast of the launch of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 (BBMS7) on Asianet, beginning at 7 p.m. on August 3, will mark the start of the season. JioHotstar provides live streaming, and it can also be accessed through OTTplay Premium.

This being Season 7, all the show related puns revolve around the number 7. For starters, Mohanlal has been announcing a zero-tolerance policy for a lot of behaviours that were seen in earlier seasons, like, for instance, pulling the victim card, flattery, etc. The response to any such tantrums would be “ezhinte pani” and not “ettinte pani”. This time, the road to the title is said to be 7-pronged journey.

This season is also expected to be around 100 days, with Mohanlal to host the weekend episodes at the Bigg Boss Malayalam house in Chennai. The actor, who has had a fantabulous year with two blockbuster releases – L2 Empuraan and Thudarum – has an Onam release in the form of Satyan Anthikkad’s Hridayapoorvam.

Along with hosting Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7, he will also have to balance the filming schedules of his movies Patriot (a multi-starrer directed by Mahesh Narayanan) and his cameo in Dileep's Bha Bha Bha. The show's schedule might also conflict with the production of the last chapter of the Drishyam series, which is slated to start in September of this year.

In the meanwhile, it has been reported that this season of Bigg Boss Malayalam features more commoners than celebrities as contestants. The names rumored to be involved are Josephine Binny Sebastian, Jasi Ashi, Renu Sudhi, Vedan, Sujaya Parvathy, Maitreyan, Kili Paul, Appani Sharath, Beena Anthony, Seema G Nair, and many more.
