The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Private, has dropped an update on its release date today (July 17). The movie, which stars Indrans and Meenakshi Anoop in lead roles, will hit the big screen on August 1.

The main cast of the film had shared posters hinting at an update soon. Meanwhile, they posted a new poster revealing its title and characters played by Indrans and Meenakshi, along with a release date. If premiered on the said date, Private will run in theatres along with Arjun Ashokan's horror thriller, Sumathi Valavu, and Kathir's Malayalam film, Meesha.

The project, which is led by first-timer Deepak Deon, also benefits greatly from Anu Antony's involvement. For this film, the screenplay was written by the director. The film has been financed by V K Shabeer's C Factor The Entertainment Company. The movie's music was written by Aswin Sathya, with Jaya Krishna serving as the editor. The photography was done by Faisal Ali. In the days prior to its theatrical debut, more information on the remainder of the cast and a trailer are anticipated. Because the film's genre has not been disclosed, there is more anticipation for it.

Meenakshi, who gained notoriety as a participant in well-known reality series, is well known for her performance in Amar Akbar Anthony. OTTplay Premium and Sun NXT are currently airing the comedy drama. She just starred in Officer On Duty. Indrans played a key role in the Malayalam web series Kerala Crime Files 2, which can be seen on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium. In the web series, which also features Harisree Ashokan, Sirajudheen Nazar, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Lal, and Aju Varghese, he portrays CPO Ambili Raju. Indrans had previously starred in several movies, including United Kingdom of Kerala and Rekhachithram. According to reports, he will have a significant role in Suriya's next film, Karuppu.
