One of the most anticipated movies in Telugu cinema was Bhairavam, which signaled the return of Manchu Manoj, Bellamkonda Srinivas, and Nara Rohit to the industry after a five-year break. Vijay Kanakamedala, well known for his work with Nandi, directed Bhairavam, a remake of the popular Tamil film Garudan.
On OTT, Bhairavam is a huge success
Prior to the movie's debut, the producers gave it a strong push, and at the end of the day, the action thriller had a respectable box office run. It ended in the safe zone after raising about Rs 17 crore. OTTplay was the first to disclose that ZEE5 had paid a high amount for the digital rights and would begin streaming the film on July 18, 2025.

Since its OTT release, the film has taken a great start. A source close to the film’s team revealed that Bhairavam has clocked just over 50 million streaming minutes in just two days of its digital release. This shows how eagerly the film was awaited by audiences.
Bhairavam tells the story of three close friends who become enemies due to a small land dispute. Manchu Manoj, who was going through a rough patch in his career, made a strong comeback with this film, as his dialogue delivery and performance were widely appreciated.

Nara Rohit was seen in a mature role, while Bellamkonda Srinivas returned to success with his strong character. The film is also special as it marked the Telugu debut of star director Shankar’s daughter, Aditi Shankar. She played a fun role that has been trending online.
Interestingly, a section of the audience that skipped the film in theatres due to its intense action and violence has now started streaming it in large numbers on ZEE5.
