One of the few films this year that drew crowds to theaters and was deemed an "emotional hit" was Yuddhakaanda Chapter 2, the second production endeavor of Kannada actor-producer Krishna Ajai Rao, which was directed by Pavan Bhat. Now available on OTT, Yuddhakaanda Chapter 2 is a courtroom drama starring Ajai and Prakash Belawadi, Archana Jois, and Baby Radnya.

Unsurprisingly, Amazon Prime Video has chosen to stream Yuddhakaanda Chapter 2, starting on June 20, 2025. The movie is available in its original Kannada version, as well as with Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi audio. It is still unknown whether the digital rights are only available on Prime Video or whether, as has been the case with a few other Kannada films that debuted on a second platform within weeks, the producers have the option of shopping it elsewhere as well.

In contrast, Pavan's movie depicted a young single mother's battle to obtain justice for her child following a horrific sexual assault. The mother, played by KGF-fame Archana Jois, feels betrayed by the system and shoots the wealthy offender inside the courthouse grounds after he was able to prolong the trials and escape punishment; she is then accused of murder.

At first glance, her case seems straightforward, with no question of her behavior, but is she truly a killer or the victim of circumstances? A novice attorney, portrayed by Ajai Rao, steps in to get her the justice she was denied previously when seasoned lawyers decline to take her case. The central point of the tale is how he does it.

The crew claimed that revealing much of the narrative in the film's trailer was done on purpose to avoid deceiving viewers when it was released. The risk was worthwhile since people were curious about how the tale would ultimately turn out.
