The director stated, "We have undoubtedly talked about Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2." However, he continues to be wary of the sequel. He said, "We will definitely bring Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 if and when a story hits us – maybe now, or a year later." Additionally, the director emphasized that he wants to produce a sequel to the film, but not simply for the sake of its box office receipts. The filmmaker has historically opposed sequels, but in the case of Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2, he made an exception for the uninitiated.

When Vijayendra Prasad announced that Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 is currently under development

RRR writer Vijayendra Prasad had earlier this year confirmed that Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 is in the works indeed. Will Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Harshaali Malhotra return?

A sequel to "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is possible. However, as Salman Khan remarked at Sikandar's press conference, "The issue is that when its sequel is made, Munni (Harshaali Malhotra) will speak." He joked that the now-adult little Munni would probably be back for the movie.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was unaware of the project, but there is no information regarding Kareena Kapoor Khan. The actor had during the promotion of his film Costao that he had no knowledge of any sequel being produced, and that he couldn't just walk up to the producers and demand that they cast him in the sequel simply because his character Chand Nawab was in the first movie. Nawazuddin was unable to be a part of the film as a result, but there is still potential for him to come back since the script is not yet finished.
