Varsha Bharath, a former assistant to director Vetrimaaran, is directing a forthcoming Tamil movie called Bad Girl, as we previously announced. The film will be released in theaters on September 5, its producers said on Tuesday.

The release date of the forthcoming Tamil film Bad Girl, which has been the subject of debate due to its trailer, has at last been revealed. The movie, Bad Girl, has played at festivals all over the world and is now censored with a U/A license. On September 5, the movie, which seems to be a courageous and emotionally uplifting coming-of-age drama, is set to be released in Indian theaters. Madharasi, an action thriller starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by AR Murugadoss, will be released at the same time as the movie.
Under the banner of Grass Root Film Company, Anurag Kashyap presents the movie, which was written and directed by Varsha Bharath, who is making her debut, and produced by filmmaker Vetrimaaran. Bad Girl has received numerous accolades and positive reviews from the international film festival community. This comprises the NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and the Young Jury Award for Best Feature Film at the 40th Cinema Jove - Valencia International Film Festival in Spain. The movie centers on a young woman from an orthodox household who seems to be defying all of the societal norms placed on women. Bad Girl, which stars an ensemble cast that includes Anjali Sivaraman, Shanthi Priya, Hridhu Haroon, TeeJay Arunasalam, Sashank Bommireddipalli, and Saranya Ravichandran, explores the themes of identity, freedom, and resistance.
Radha Sridhar is responsible for the editing, while Preetha Jayaraman (ISC), Jagadeesh Ravi, and Prince Anderson are among the technical staff. The music was written by Amit Trivedi. The film's music was written by a National Award-winning composer. The film's teaser was previously put out by the creators, but it drew criticism for its content.
