In this movie, directed by Haneef Adeni, Marco, Victor of the Adattu family's adoptive brother, resolves to seek vengeance at all costs following Victor's heinous murder. Kabir plays the role of an adversary alongside Abhimanyu Shammi Thilakan and Jagadish in the film. Additionally, he has played roles in other Malayalam movies such as Turbo and Ajayante Randam Moshanam.

The film's creators also announced that the music and background score for Kattalan would be written by B Ajaneesh Loknath, who is famous for his work on Kantara. His work on Kannada films like Kirik Party, Ulidavaru Kandanthe, and Bagheera has brought him widespread acclaim. Recent rumors that famous stuntman Kecha Khamphakdee might be joining this much-anticipated Malayalam film were sparked by a meeting between the Kattalan crew and him.
