Blockbuster director Anil Ravipudi threw his support behind the upcoming aha original film, Chiranjeeva, calling its central concept "very interesting." Speaking at the press premiere in Hyderabad, Ravipudi wished the team "blockbuster success," particularly praising director Abhinaya Krishna (popularly known as 'Adire Abhi') on his directorial debut.

Chiranjeeva, which stars Raj Tarun and Kushitha Kallapu, is produced by Rahul Avudoddi and Suhasini Rahul under the Streamline Productions banner. It is scheduled to start streaming on aha from November 7th, marking the platform's kickoff for its November content lineup.

The Director's Decade-Long Dream Takes Flight

Director Abhinaya Krishna revealed that making his directorial debut was a decade-long struggle. After working in the industry for 23 years, he finally found the right story and the right backing with Chiranjeeva. He shared that he approached aha Content Head Shravani with several ideas before the Chiranjeeva concept took shape.

His background in comedy, where he always focused on bringing freshness to skits on Jabardasth, translated directly into his film-making. Abhi introduced a unique idea called the 'Age Meter' in the movie and hopes this cinematic experiment will resonate with the audience. His colleagues from the comedy circuit, including Rocket Raghava, Jabardasth Ram Prasad, and Hyper Aadi, all attended the event to show their unwavering support, expressing confidence in Abhi’s talent and dedication.

Raj Tarun’s Commitment and aha’s Confidence

Hero Raj Tarun acknowledged his special relationship with the aha platform, noting that his film Orey Bujjiga also premiered there during the lockdown. He praised director Abhi for working "many times harder" than anyone else and deserving success. Producer Rahul Avudoddi recounted Raj Tarun’s commitment, even shooting scenes while suffering from a high fever—a testament to the entire team's belief in the story.

The support from aha was crucial. aha CEO Ravikanth stated that the film has "great depth," and Content Head Shravani confirmed that the moment they heard the story, they decided to produce it to bolster their collection of local content.

Ravipudi’s Friendship and Best Wishes

Chief Guest Anil Ravipudi shared a long history with Abhinaya Krishna, dating back to when Abhi was an actor and Ravipudi was an assistant director on the film Gautham SSC. Ravipudi recalled Abhi’s talent for mimicry and even assisting him with the Telangana dialect in Kandireega.

"I wish him all success as a director," Ravipudi said, cementing his hope that the film would not only be a hit for Abhi but also serve as a strong comeback for Raj Tarun, who is widely loved by the Telugu audience.

With an intriguing concept, strong emotional backing from industry peers, and the immediate reach of the aha platform, Chiranjeeva is generating significant buzz as a unique direct-to-OTT release set to entertain viewers from November 7th.
