Following the triumph of Premalu last year, Nalsen's big release was Alappuzha Gymkhana. Audiences adored Khalid Rahman's 2025 Malayalam film, which resulted in packed houses and strong box office sales. Here’s how much Alappuzha Gymkhana earned during its outstanding performance in the theatres as Nalsen’s popular Malayalam movie prepares for its eagerly anticipated OTT debut on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium on June 13, 2025.

The last box office statistics for the Alappuzha Gymkhana

Alappuzha Gymkhana was released in theaters on April 10, 2025, together with Mammootty's Bazooka and Basil Joseph's Maranamass. However, at the Vishu box office, the picture of the young Malayali star turned out to be the victor. Industry tracker Sacnilk reports that Alappuzha Gymkhana earned Rs 70.6 crore at the end of its global box office run.

According to statistics from the Sacnilk website, the Naslen-starrer has earned Rs 50.6 crore in India and Rs 20 crore overseas. The Malayalam sports comedy has grossed Rs. 40.09 crore at the Malayalam net box office.

Naslen's movie is the second Vishu release to go live. Basil Joseph's Maranamass had previously premiered on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium in May 2025. In contrast, Mammootty's action thriller Bazooka has not yet been released on OTT. The movie's digital rights have been acquired by Zee5, which is likely to disclose a release date shortly.

Alappuzha Gymkhana cast and plot

The movie by Khalid Rahman stars Naslen as Jojo Johnson. Jojo and his buddies choose to participate in boxing matches in order to improve their chances of getting into their preferred institution after they do poorly in the plus-two exams. Lukman Avaran is portrayed as the impulsive coach, while Ganapathi S. Poduval is another young man attempting to succeed in the competition. Jojo's group also consists of Sandeep Pradeep, Franco Francis, and Shiva Hariharan, to name a few. In the film, Anagha Ravi plays the role of Natasha, a boxer, and her performance in the Panjara Punch song was widely praised on social media.
