Akshardham Operation Vajra Shakti: Akshaye Khanna's OTT Film Revamped Before Big-Screen Debut

The Temple Attack episode of Akshaye Khanna's State of Siege was published in July 2021. The movie will now be released in theaters under a new name, which is Akshardham Operation Vajra Shakti, according to the producers' decision. The 2002 Akshardham Temple strike served as the basis for the Ken Ghosh-directed action thriller. The date of the theatrical rerelease of the Akshardham Operation Vajra Shakti is shown here.

Zee Studios Official revealed on June 20 that Akshardham Operation Vajra Shakti will be released in cinemas on July 4, 2025. In fact, it's the new title for Akshaye Khanna's previously released movie, State of Siege: Temple Attack. The title has been changed by the producers, who have also chosen to re-release it in theaters.
Sharing the news, the makers captioned it, An act of terror met with unmatched bravery The story of courage, sacrifice, and survival comes alive in #AkshardhamOperationVajraShakti In Cinemas on 4th July, 2025.
About State of Siege: Temple Attack
State of Siege: Temple Attack is a Hindi film that focuses on a terrorist attack on a temple in Gujarat, inspired by the 2002 Akshardham Temple attack.
The movie follows the National Security Guard (NSG) commandos, led by Major Hanut Singh (played by Akshaye Khanna), as they confront terrorists and work to rescue hostages. The film is part of the State of Siege series, which also includes the 2020 series State of Siege: 26/11.

Akshaye Khanna plays Major Hanut Singh in the movie, and Parvin Dabas, Vivek Dahiya, Gautam Rode, Akshay Oberoi, Samir Soni, and Abhilash Choudhary are also cast. Ken Ghosh is the director of the picture.
Akshaye Khanna, on the other hand, was last seen in Chhaava. Akshaye Khanna portrayed Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, in the blockbuster movie. Aurangzeb was renowned for his skill and authority.
The audience emphasized the "silent menace" and low intensity of his performance in comparison to the fiery power of Vicky Kaushal's portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, calling it frightening and intimidating. Rashmika Mandanna played Maharani Yesubai, Sambhaji's wife, in the movie as well. The historical period drama is now available on Netflix and is directed by Laxman Utekar.
