Raj Kumar Gupta's raid 2 has had a fantastic theatrical run at the box office. Everyone, from celebrities and critics to fans, adored and praised the film. Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor play the leading roles in the suspenseful drama. The movie is now available for streaming on an OTT service after more than a month.

Raid 2 available on OTT

Netflix currently offers the movie Raid 2, which stars Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, for those who were unable to see it in theaters. On May 1, 2025, the movie debuted in theaters.

On Raid 2

In Raid 2, IRS officer Amay Patnaik (Ajay Devgn) looks into Dada Bhai (Riteish Deshmukh), a well-known and dishonest politician. The latter participates in a large-scale black market scheme. Amay remains obstinate in the face of suspension and threats, which causes him to find proof against Dada Bhai. Tauji (Saurabh Shukla) from the first "Raid" movie is reintroduced, which increases the story's complexity and tension. The movie explores justice, corruption, and the lengths to which one must go to safeguard one's reputation.

This movie also emphasizes the extremes to which people will go in order to safeguard their reputation and hold onto power, even if it means using deception and deceit.

The cast of Raid 2

The cast includes Riteish Deshmukh as the dishonest politician Dada Bhai, Ajay Devgn as the IRS official Amay Patnaik, Saurabh Shukla as Tauji, a character from the first film who reappears in the sequel, Vaani Kapoor, and others.

Are we having Raid 3?

Raj Kumar Gupta was asked whether he is thinking of making Raid 3 or not. The filmmaker said, “It’s too early, as we always intend to say a good story and then wait to see if audiences like it. Raid 2 will decide if it has the legs to go to Raid 3,” he answers, adding further that he is yet to decide on his next feature film. “There are multiple scripts, but let’s see which one comes together.”

He also told Firstpost that although he wrote the scene of Tauji (Saurabh Shukla) and Dada Manohar Bhai (Riteish Deshmukh) shaking hands before going to jail in Raid 2, it could have started as an idea for Raid 3.
