The wait is over! Arun Vijay-starrer AV 36 is now titled Retta Thala! The makers of the upcoming film took to their social media pages to unveil the official title and the first-look poster from the film. The new poster features Arun Vijay in dual roles – both of them are fighting in what appears to be a wrestling match. The actor seems to have received intense physical training and is looking extremely fit.

Karthik Subbaraj unveiled the title and first-look poster of the film on April 23. Earlier, director Lokesh Kanagaraj had attended the film’s official launch.

Overall, the intriguing poster has left the netizens guessing! What could the poster indicate? Is Arun Vijay playing the protagonist as well as the antagonist? Is the story about sibling rivalry? All these answers to the questions will be unravelled in the coming updates! Reportedly Kannada actor Yogesh is said to make his Tamil debut in this upcoming actioner.

Retta Thala – action thriller

Helmed by Maan Karate-fame director Kris Thirukumaran, the upcoming film is set to be a high-octane action thriller. Interestingly, the film will have not one but two leading ladies – Siddhi Idnani and Tanya Ravichandran. Earlier director Kris revealed that the film will be made on a grand scale and also stated that it would be a game-changer in Arun Vijay’s career. “Just like how Maan Karate opened doors for Sivakarthikeyan, this movie will pave a new path for Arun Vijay,” the director said.

According to the director, it was director AR Murugadoss who had recommended Arun Vijay’s name to him during casting. He also stated that Arun Vijay will be seen in 5 different looks with the actor undergoing a massive physical transformation for the film.

Retta Thala, which translates to 'Double Heads', was initially reserved to be the title of AR Murugadoss and Ajith's film, which later got shelved. Now, his assistant director Kris has got the opportunity to use the title for his film instead.
