While the subject matter itself is gripping and emotionally heavy, the film struggles with its execution, making it a challenging watch despite its noble intentions.

Saswata Chatterjee impresses with his chilling portrayal of a dual-natured Muslim politician. At home, he is a modern, educated family man, while outside, donning the attire of a conservative figure, he commits unspeakable crimes against Hindu women. Chatterjee’s nuanced acting captures the complexities of a character who embodies deception and brutality, showcasing his immense talent.

Areas of Improvement: Length and Performance

Despite these powerful performances, the film suffers from its length, running over three and a half hours, which many viewers may find taxing. A tighter edit could have helped focus the story and delivered the core message more effectively within a shorter runtime.

Moreover, not all performances hit the mark. Darshan Kumar, in particular, is criticised for forced dialogue delivery and a lack of connection with his character, which diminishes some emotional stakes in the film.
