"Sitaare Zameen Par" First Review: Aamir Khan’s Film on Neurodivergent Adults Poised to Make an Impact

One of the most anticipated movies of 2025 is Sitaare Zameen Par, which features Aamir Khan in a starring role and is directed by R.S. Prasanna. With its June 20 release date quickly approaching, the first review of the movie has surfaced, with the well-known novelist and philanthropist Sudha Murty praising the picture.

His 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par is followed by the spiritual sequel Sitaare Zameen Par. A basketball coach who trains neurodivergent adults as a form of community service is the subject of the film. The well-known novelist and philanthropist Sudha Murty, who recently attended a special screening of the film, lauded it in advance of its publication, calling Sitaare Zameen Par a moving and well-depicted example of a significant social problem.

Sitaare Zameen Par is an eye-opener, she claimed, since so many people don't comprehend these youngsters. In her opinion, Aamir's movie is really lovely, and it shows that they have a lot of compassion and innocence.

"Their approach to life is so straightforward that they always grin. Even if you haven't accomplished something, you can still appreciate it when someone else is, she said.

She went on to say, "These are very great and philosophical lessons that you learn from these people, and the movie includes them." In reality, this film has the potential to bring about significant changes and raise public awareness of intellectual disability, which shouldn't be treated lightly.

Ten up-and-coming talents were cast by Aamir Khan Productions: Simran Mangeshkar, Naman Mishra, Rishabh Jain, Rishi Shahani, Ashish Pendse, Ayush Bhansali, Vedant Sharma, Samvit Desai, Gopi Krishna Varma, and Aroush Datta. In addition to Aamir, the movie stars Genelia Deshmukh.

The court orders Gulshan (played by Aamir Khan), a disgraced basketball coach, to train a group of neurotypical athletes in this film, which is directed by R. S. Prasanna. Gulshan, who was first hesitant and haughty, develops a strong relationship with his squad and picks up valuable lessons in love, tolerance, and compassion. The movie is scheduled for release on June 20, 2025.
