Oho Enthan Baby movie review: Rudra-Mithila’s Rom-Com Delivers Quirk and Comfort

Oho Enthan Baby plot:

Ashwin (Rudra) approaches the office of the actor Vishnu Vishal (as himself) in order to promote a screenplay, but he instead finds himself telling his love tale. What the actor perceives to be an intermission is really the stoic conclusion of Ashwin's love connection with Meera (Mithila Palkar). Ashwin must face his ex-lover once more in order to finish his tale and start his first directorial endeavor, which Vishnu Vishal is pursuing.

Review of Oho Enthan Baby:

In the middle of Rudra's tale of his romance to Vishnu Vishal, the actor's manager King (Redin Kingsley) labels him as "toxic," and it made me wonder when the last time a male character in the movie was suddenly labeled for behavior that is simply unacceptable. Oho Enthan Baby is a flavorful, oddball, and lively romance that appeals to young people and gives such little things the recognition they deserve.

Oho Enthan Baby uses a movie-within-a-movie structure and steals the protagonist from Krishnakumar's previous film, Modern Love Chennai Kaadhal Enbadhu Kannula Heart Irukkura Emoji, who is more than simply a Romeo-Juliet lover in the world of cinema. Since his family was torn apart by his parents' conflict, Ashwin now lives and breathes movies, as his uncle's theater was the only comfort he had. The movie doesn't go into the specifics of their conflicts' whys and hows, but it does enough to demonstrate that Ashwin's affair with cinema leads to a romantic path, starting in school and continuing until he eventually meets Meera (Mithila Palkar), the cousin of his friend's girlfriend. The picture only touches on a lot of tiny details, making sure to mention them but not going into them to the point where they stick out like a sore thumb. The tale rarely bothers to bring up, as it should, the fact that Meera is three years older than Ashwin. Ashwin finds himself in a similar situation when his crush tells him that she is in love with his friend (who happens to be a girl). Most of the time, problems are handled with humor and without stereotypes.

As the love between Meera and Ashwin faces challenges, Oho Enthan Baby pays attention to such narratives as they play out on stage. We see Ashwin giving up in the discussion while Meera refers to him as a 'narcissist'. The conflict is, in reality, a complex complexity that is not monotone and may be prevalent in modern relationships. Brownie points go to Mithila, who gives a realistic portrayal of her character and is really charming despite performing in a language she doesn't know. Rudra also portrays his character truthfully. Furthermore, Vishnu Vishal, who appears in a significant role in the movie, is allowed to mimic the biggest celebrities, inject a few lines that might put an end to industry rumors, and incorporate events from his own life into the plot.

As I said, Oho Enthan Baby might find itself in some sticky situations if certain of its threads aren't properly connected. More is said than shown about how Ashwin's parents were, how his father dominated the family disputes, or even how dysfunctional Meera's family was. The primary drivers of Oho Enthan Baby are humor and feelings, which occasionally go off the beat and reappear at odd intervals. The movie, which does not want to take itself too seriously, is carefully crafted by Krishnakumar, and although the sentimentality sometimes fails to grab you, the majority of the film works in its favor.

The picture makes for a light watch since it has romance at its core and comedy providing a lot of support. Oho Enthan Baby is technically well-executed because of its laid-back style, which is a significant benefit given that the movie occasionally loses its emotional depth. Oho Enthan Baby is a movie that might serve as a launchpad for emerging talent because of its outstanding cinematography, music, and main ensemble.

Oho Enthan Baby verdict:

Oho Enthan Baby is a quirky, fun, and light-hearted rom-com that fairly sticks to its genre. The film makes up for a decent watch, and holds much potential had it worked on the depths of other characters surrounding its leads. Rudra and Mithila with their impressive performances, make Oho Enthan Baby’s hide its flaws.
