Janaki V v/s State of Kerala, Suresh Gopi's most recent film, was released in theaters today (July 17). The movie is now receiving acclaim for giving Suresh Gopi the strong comeback he deserved, despite having been in the headlines for a legal battle with the Central Board of Film Certification.

The movie, which has been the subject of conversation for a while, has just raised viewers' expectations. Social media has become a venue for many individuals to voice their opinions on the courtroom drama. 

Most of them have liked Suresh Gopi's portrayal of attorney David Abel Donovan, saying that it reminded his followers of his earlier roles in Bharathchandran IPS and Chinthamani Kolacase. 

Additionally, Anupama Parameswaran is getting accolades for her portrayal of Janaki in the movie. Meanwhile, due to its subpar execution and cliché-filled narrative style, Janaki V vs. the State of Kerala is also criticized as a poor movie. 

An online commenter said, "A perfect example of how template writing and old-school filmmaking can destroy a tried and tested plot." Others have also argued that, with the exception of Suresh Gopi, Anupama, and Shruti Ramachandran, the other actors provided average performances and failed to make an impact on the audience.

Due to concerns about the use of Janaki in the title, the CBFC declined to grant the certificate, which forced the film's theatrical debut in June to be postponed. The producers eventually chose to remove seven of Janaki's mentions and include the first "V" to the title after the case was heard in court. As a consequence of the problem, the movie had gained a lot of publicity.

Janaki, an IT professional in Bangalore, is the main character in the movie, and her life is turned upside down after she is attacked. The case takes a surprising turn when advocate David Abel Donovan arrives and begins her legal struggle for justice. Whether Janaki V will get the justice she deserves is the central question in her case against the State of Kerala.
