Kireeti and Sreeleela’s Dance Wins Hearts in ‘Junior’—Storyline Fizzles

Twitter reviews for juniors: Radhakrishna Reddy's Junior received a tepid reception when it was released in theaters on July 18. The movie features Sreeleela and Genelia D'Souza in the lead roles and also introduces Kireeti, the son of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy. Judging by the reviews on X (previously Twitter), Kireeti and Sreeleela's dance skills are superior to the 'tiring' plot of the Telugu-Kannada bilingual.
Kireeti's dance resembles the younger Jr NTR
Kireeti has expressed his fondness for Jr NTR in several interviews promoting Junior. Additionally, Tarak's followers now think that Kireeti's dance moves are on par with those of a young NTR. "Dance Moves (mind blown emojis) & Body Flexibility (clapping and fire emojis). Acham Tiger Ni Chustunatlu Undhi (It feels like I'm watching Tiger). True @tarak9999 Fanboy @KireetiOfficial. #Junior."
Another idea: “NTR mass Ram Pothineni Energy kalipi shake chesav @KireetiOfficial Bro. (You have the mass moves of NTR and energy of Ram Pothineni) ALL The Best #Junior #Kireeti #Sreeleela.” In addition, some users shared GIFs of Sreeleela's dance routines in the movie, complete with fire emojis.
"Just watched #Junior - Kireeti Reddy's debut is impressive, especially his dance & action scenes," one X user wrote in response to Devi Sri Prasad's tune Viral Vayyari. Viral Vayyari by DSP is a hit. However, the narrative seemed too predictable, and the women leads deserved greater opportunities. Watch it for the vigor, not the narrative.
Junior thinks it's a strenuous workout
X users were critical of Junior's film, even though the majority of viewers thought that the first half was 'average' and the second half was 'emotional.' The emphasis on portraying Kireeti as a 'hero' was even criticized by one X user, who wrote, "When a film attempts to highlight a debutant, it needs to be straightforward and successful. It will never work to portray him as a huge celebrity. #Junior is a juice made from mixed fruits, and several films have been brought in to produce this one film, which has no emotional connection or character development. It simply seems like a tiring chore to complete.
Junior was kept from expressing another idea by a mundane storyline, which he penned as "Junior review." The film is quite typical, hampered by a predictable plot, an unpersuasive villain, and a lack of emotional depth. The second half is predictable. But @KireetiOfficial's impressive debut, Sreeleela's vibrant presence, and DSP's strong background music continue to stand out.
"This film is an average watch, mainly due to its conventional narrative, weak villain, and a lack of emotional impact," one X user said, describing the movie as such. The tale's second half is somewhat predictable. But they did compliment Sreeleela's "charm" and Kireeti's "remarkable screen presence."
The tale of a young man named Abhi (Kireeti) who works for Vijay Soujanya (Genelia) is narrated by Junior. He soon learns something surprising about her and his father's history.
