There has been a lot of unfavorable news about Aamir Khan in the last few weeks. However, the man has been unfazed and is promoting his newest movie, which demonstrates his faith in his product. When I say this, I mean it: I was really excited to sit down with Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual follow-up to the 2007 smash Taare Zameen Par. It's a formal remake of the 2018 Italian movie Campeones.

His movies—yes, even Laal Singh Chaddha—have a tendency to focus on the positive. In this instance, I was also doing that. Additionally, to put it succinctly, Aamir delivers.

The Plot of Sitaare Zameen Par: What Happens?

The plot of RS Prasanna's film Sitaare Zameen Par lacks a villain. Gulshan Arora, an arrogant basketball assistant coach, is suspended for physically assaulting his superior during an outburst of rage. After that, while intoxicated, he drives into a police vehicle and receives a sentence of community service: teaching basketball to a group of people with special needs for three months. Unprepared for the fact that he will be the one receiving coaching, Gulshan reluctantly accepts the position, all the while whining and taken aback.

The manner in which author Divy Nidhi Sharma portrays this exceptional group of people's situation is brilliant, even if one may believe they would view it as the antagonist in their life. The filmmakers never attempt to elicit sympathy. These are grownups, just like you and I. They simply have a different notion of what is considered 'normal'. The fact that one of them also smokes—though it's a bad habit—helps to illustrate the point that they don't want us to see them with pity.

The decision

The first half is monotonous and tries one's endurance. There's a lot of screen time taken up by Aamir's rage over his new position, his introduction to his unique squad, and his troubled marriage with Sunita (Genelia Deshmukh), all of which seem to be poorly written. There's the odd chuckle, which is almost exactly what was seen in the trailer.

Even the halfway point isn't a highlight. Following this, you make yourself at home in your seats in preparation for a yawn-fest. However, this is precisely when Sitaare Zameen Par discovers its groove in an unexpected way. The laughter returns, and certain moments cause the audience to burst out laughing, indicating that things are starting to make sense. Keep an eye out for the one that features Brijendra Kala! My choice is the second half of Sitaare Zameen Par.

Aamir is a talented comedian, and he returns to that genre in this film as well. Here, he gets along well with his co-stars, and the camaraderie shows through. Aamir makes the first half bearable, and then he elevates the game in the second. Fortunately, the source of contention between them is not carried to an extreme, and Genelia does a great job of supporting him as his wife. With their outstanding performances, Brijendra Kala and Dolly Ahluwalia are endearing in their characters and make the most of their little screen time.

The Sitaare- Ashish Pendse now captivates you as Sunil in a pivotal moment with his poignant portrayal. The producers have succeeded in getting a performance worthy of film from each of the actors, including Aroush Datta, Aayush Bhansali, Rishi Shahani, Gopikrishnan K Verma, Rishabh Jain, Vedant Sharma, Simran Mangeshka, Samvit Desai, and Naman Misra.

The soundtrack by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is upbeat and complements the movie. Don't anticipate a soundtrack as unforgettable as Taare Zameen Par, and you won't be let down.

In general, Sitaare Zameen Par is a touching film that should be seen in a crowded theater. The movie's impact is enhanced by the shared laughter, quiet sniffles, and other elements.

These Sitaare may not be as brilliant as their forebears, but they illuminate the screen in a lovely manner.
