In the second season of Rana Naidu on Netflix, Arjun Rampal is the villain. To appear as a worthy opponent to the much taller and larger Rana Daggubati, who plays the titular hero, the actor, known for his fitness, put on a lot of muscle for the part. Arjun discusses how the fun of gaining weight turned into some problems when he had to lose it all after the shoot was over.
Arjun Rampal discusses his experience of gaining 14 kg and subsequently losing 12 kg.
"I gained 14 kg for the role," Arjun says, discussing his muscular build. It was enjoyable to acquire it, but not particularly amusing to attempt to get rid of it after the shoot had ended.

Arjun is in better shape than most people half his age at 52. However, the actor acknowledges that it is more difficult to gain and lose weight in his fifties than it was in his twenties and thirties. "It's a lot more difficult. It certainly doesn't get any simpler. But touch wood, the metabolism is still active and functioning. I gained that weight over the course of two months. I subsequently shed 12 kg in a month and a half. "That was gruesome," he says.
How Arjun Shed 12 KG in 6 Weeks
Arjun claims he used a "full diet, intermittent fasting, and a tremendous amount of cardio" to lose weight so quickly, discussing everything he did. The actor stated that he "would do four 10k runs in a week and 5K runs on the other three days," indicating that he ran 45 kilometers every week. In addition to all of this were swimming, cycling, paddle tennis, and "any cardio I could throw in there," as Arjun puts it. He further explains that this was all supplemented by consistent weight training.
However, Arjun claims that his primary concern was regaining his mobility, rather than simply losing the extra pounds. He explains, "What happens is your mobility really suffers when you gain weight." "Your joints and hips get extremely stiff. Therefore, it was essential to restore mobility and flexibility by loosening that up."
