Vidya Balan has shared screen time with Shah Rukh Khan in the movies Heyy Babbyy and in the song Deewangi Deewangi from Om Shanti Om, but she has never appeared in a full-length film with him. Shah Rukh's famous posture and the widespread love for his romantic movies were mentioned by the actor.

Vidya talked about the evolution of the industry and how movies have changed over the years in the course of the conversation. "Perhaps many of these filmmakers have either studied abroad or watched too much foreign content," she said. They are not helping filmmakers. Although it may sound like too much of a senior to say this, I don't believe they understand what our sort of narrative is! Since they are unfamiliar with it, it is alienating me. It doesn't hold my attention."

Regarding Shah Rukh Khan's impact

I like masala films because they aren't pretentious, she continued. Many of these filmmakers don't even employ close-ups. I'm stunned by that. Only a close-up can help you get to know your character. I want close-ups! Allow me to see into your eyes! For heaven's sake, that's how the country fell in love with Shah Rukh Khan! He won't be as well-liked if he's merely doing this (imitates arms-stretched broad posture)!

Shah Rukh is well-known for his romantic films such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Haa Kabhi Naa, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, and others. In 2023, he made his most recent appearance in Rajkummar Hirani's film Dunki. His next appearance will be in King, where his daughter Suhana Khan also plays a key part.

In the horror-comedy movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Vidya's most recent appearance was alongside Triptii Dimri, Kartik Aaryan, and Madhuri Dixit. The movie, which came out during Diwali last year, was a hit with audiences.
