The 5th edition of the prestigious GAMA (Gulf Academy Movie Awards) was held with grandeur on August 30th at the Sharjah Expo Centre, Dubai, presented by Vaibhav Jewellers and powered by KEinfra Properties. This star-studded event celebrated the best in Telugu cinema, bringing together top industry stalwarts, celebrated artists, and passionate fans in an unforgettable evening that highlighted outstanding achievements and talent from the Telugu film world.

The event sparkled with the presence of many distinguished personalities from Tollywood who added charm and excitement to the ceremony. Under the able leadership of GAMA Awards 2025 Chairman Kesari Trimurtulu and CEO Saurabh Kesari, the evening was orchestrated with professionalism and flair. The jury, chaired by industry veterans such as director A. Kodandarami Reddy, music maestro Koti, and director B. Gopal, ensured a fair and celebrated selection of winners across diverse categories.

Major Wins and Honours: Pushpa 2 Dominates the Awards

The blockbuster film Pushpa 2: The Rule, which gained nationwide acclaim, emerged as the night’s big winner, bagging the award for Best Movie. Its lead actor, Allu Arjun, was honored with the Best Actor award for his powerful and captivating performance. The accolade for Best Actress went to Meenakshi Chaudhary for her role in Lucky Bhaskar.

Other notable winners included director Sukumar for Pushpa 2, music director Devi Sri Prasad for the same film, and Ashwini Dutt, Priyanka Dutt, and Swapna Dutt who received the Best Producer award for Kalki 2898 AD. The awards recognized excellence in various technical fields, from cinematography by Rathnavelu (Devara) to choreography by Bhanu Master (Mr. Bachchan).

Special Honours and Memorable Performances

The evening also celebrated cinematic legends. A Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed on veteran producer Ashwini Dutt, honouring his remarkable contributions to the industry. The Global Comedian Award was presented to the legendary Brahmanandam, affectionately known as the Hasya Brahma.

The glamorous night was further enlivened by spectacular performances from Urvashi Rautela, Faria Abdullah, and Manasa Varanasi, enhancing the celebratory spirit. The hosts, Suma and Harsha, kept the audience entertained, adding warmth and fun to the high-profile event.
