When an interviewer claimed that her husband, filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, was formerly a "colourful man," actress Kiran Joneja vehemently defended him. Kiran told Lehren Retro in an interview that she values commitment over marriage.

In response to a query about Ramesh Sippy's earlier affairs, Kiran Joneja responds.

Ramesh's affairs were never the subject of rumors, neither before nor throughout the thirty years of their marriage, according to Kiran Joneja. Visibly irritated, Kiran replied that Ramesh "was a colourful man" who "had at least two affairs" when the interviewer repeated that. "Mr Sippy hasn't had any affairs that I'm aware of," Kiran stated.

Kiran tells a disappointed Kiran that her prior relationships are unimportant to her.

When the interviewer pressed, Ramesh said, "I don't care, maybe it was there. But I know this much that after meeting me, I don't know of any affair till today." Once more, the interviewer insisted that Ramesh "was in a relationship with" two actresses. "Hoga (Maybe), but that is the past. I don't want to talk about it," Kiran replied at this point. I wouldn't say anything about it.
