Sequel of Unni Mukundan's Marco shelved

The actor announced the cancellation of Marco's sequel by replying to a fan's remark, and he often shares information about his endeavors on social media. Fans of the actor and action film enthusiasts will be disappointed by this news, as the movie was described as his finest creation and an unbeatable box office success. The sequel has been delayed, Unni claims, because the endeavor is facing excessive criticism. He has also promised to collaborate on a project that is bigger and superior to Marco.

The action drama, which was released in theaters in December 2024, ends with a hint of a sequel. Unni earlier revealed in a press conference that the group plans to make two additional movies following Marco, which is meant to complete a trilogy.

In just 26 days after its theatrical debut, the film, which had a Rs 30 crore budget, reportedly crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone. It then went on to play in theatres all around the nation and internationally for more than 30 days, which is an incredible accomplishment. Marco's A rating also prevented many people from seeing it in theatres, which helped movie do very well on digital platforms like Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium.

Marco, who is desperate to exact revenge for his brother's murder, is at the heart of the gory action thriller. A perilous conflict of deceit breaks out as he fights for the powerful Adat family and the gold mafia. Full of brutal scenes and fast-paced action sequences, the movie presents an unrelenting struggle for vengeance. In this Haneef Adeni-directed film, Jagadish, Kabir Duhan Singh, Siddique, and Abhimanyu Shammy Thilakan all have important parts.
