Although season 3 of Squid Game may have signaled the end of the series in Korea, it seems that Munawar Faruqui is about to present the Indian iteration of the well-liked drama. The Society, as the play is now known, has some intriguing details to observe.

Munawar Faruqui introduces The Society

JioHotstar Sparks is now airing a brand new TV series hosted by Munawar Faruqui. The reality television personality claims, "Log kehte hai life ek game hai, toh humne seriously le liya," in the show, which is called The Society. However, it is the stunning images that will take you back to the world of Squid Game.

Is there an Indian version of Squid Game?

Although there are several parallels between The Society and Squid Game, the producers have not formally identified it as the Indian version of Squid Game. Obviously, this implies that Munawar won't be playing the role of the Frontman, which Lee Byung-hun first portrayed. But the similarities are obvious. However, it is still too soon to tell whether there will be any similarities between Squid Game and The Society. The latter will be available for free streaming on JioHotstar. However, the publication date for the same is yet unknown.

After winning Kangana Ranaut's Lock Upp season 1 and Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 17, Munawar Faruqui made his web series debut. He did so with First Copy, a show about piracy. Unfortunately, he did not get noticed for the same the way he would have liked to. However, The Society announcement video is sure to grab eyeballs, at least initially, for its concept appearing similar to Lee Jung-jae's Squid Game.

Squid Game comes to an end?

There is still an ongoing debate on whether Squid Game has actually come to an end. Although there were hints about Squid Game US version with Cate Blanchett making her cameo in the Korean series, the makers have not confirmed whether it is actually in the works. Nonetheless, there is buzz that Squid Game Universe is planned. If an Indian version comes in the mix, it would be interesting to see where things go.
