Good news for Taylor Swift fans: The singer has finally acquired the master recordings of her first six albums from Scooter Braun. In a heartfelt, handwritten message to her followers on her website, the Grammy winner made the news public. Additionally, she uploaded images on X (previously Twitter) of herself posing with the records of her albums.

"You belong with me. (coloured heart emojis) Letter on my site :)" Taylor stated on X.

"I'm attempting to bring my thoughts into something coherent, but my mind is currently simply a slideshow," she began her letter. A flashback of all the times I fantasized, hoped for, and prayed for the opportunity to share this information with you. Every time I got this close and reached for it, it slipped through my fingers. Twenty years of having the carrot dangle in front of me before it was pulled away made me lose faith that it could ever happen. But that's all in the past now. Ever since I learned that this is actually happening, I've been bursting into happy tears at random moments. The following statement is true: All of the music I have ever created is now mine.

Give supporters credit when credit is due

The news of how Taylor, the "mother," had at last regained ownership of her music was welcomed by ecstatic fans. She went on to say that she also owned her album art, photographs, unreleased songs, music videos, concert movies, and, in essence, her "entire life's work" now.

And Rep TV?

Next, Taylor discussed whether she will keep re-recording and producing Taylor's Versions of her music, much as she just did for The Handmaid's Tale. “I know, I know,” she said. And what about Rep TV? To be completely open, I haven't even re-recorded a quarter of it. I couldn't recreate the Reputation album because it was so unique to that period in my life. All that defiance, that yearning to be understood despite feeling deliberately misunderstood, that hopeless hope, that shame-born snarl and misbehavior. Honestly, I didn't believe that re-recording The First of That Time would have made any difference. not the movies, images, or songs. As a result, I continued to postpone it.

In addition, she hinted that there will be unreleased Vault songs coming soon, writing, "There will be a time (if you're into the idea!) for the unreleased Vault tracks from that album too." I've already finished re-recording an entire album, and I really like how it sounds now. There are still times when those two albums can re-emerge, and you guys will be thrilled about it. However, if it occurs, it won't be out of grief or a desire for what I wish I could have. Now it will only be a celebration.
