Ayushmann Khurrana, an actor, and Tahira Kashyap, a director, have been married for 17 years and have faced numerous challenges. Tahira disclosed in a recent interview that she sobbed when her funds vanished within a year of their wedding.

In a discussion with Official People of India, Tahira discussed the initial period of her married life.

Tahira mentioned, "I had my own savings, so I spent some money on my wedding." However, I didn't have employment in Mumbai... This kid was perplexed by how we obtained the food, such as where we purchased all of these fruits and vegetables. My bank account was running low. I had never begged anybody for money, not even my parents. My bank account was empty after a year, and I had always been financially independent, but now everything was in disarray.

Tahira related an incident in which Ayushmann inquired why she hadn't brought mangoes, which drove her to the brink.

“I was so angry because he didn't realize I wasn't eating mangoes for two days so that he could eat,” she continued. He inquired, "What's the problem?" Then I burst into tears. I inquired, "How do you think we purchase groceries?" He responded, "Oh yeah." I stated, "I have no money in the bank." We're using just my savings, and I've been looking for employment for seven to eight months.

Tahira disclosed that it was then that Ayushmann understood and wondered why she had not sought monetary assistance from him. The director revealed that by that time, Ayushmann's "journey had started" as he had become a VJ.

Ayushmann and Tahira have been a couple since their school days. They tied the knot in 2008 after dating for a few years and welcomed two kids: a son named Virajveer and a daughter named Varushka.

In a personal update to her followers in April, Tahira disclosed that her breast cancer had relapsed after seven years. She posts health updates for her supporters on her social media accounts.
