Sunny Deol Criticizes Manipulated Box Office Figures and Corporate Booking Practices

In an age when news is all about record-breaking figures, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol spoke candidly in an interview and responded to production companies manipulating corporate bookings and fictitious box office figures. The Border star told Zoom in an interview that it's unfortunate that the business resorts to hyperbole with inflated box office figures, and everyone else follows suit.
Production firms that are making light of their inflated box office results are lamenting the situation
"It's depressing. People manufacture their own version of reality that they want to be true rather than accepting reality. It shouldn't be. We don't have the kind of unity where we stay and say this is bad," Sunny stated.
The rising trend in the movie industry, where corporations reserve tickets in large quantities to give the impression of success, was also something Sunny voiced his concern about.
He questioned the morality of these tactics and stated, "I don't know what kind of people are enjoying the lies (of exaggerated box office numbers). This is not the way to become popular, I would want to tell young people. Because of this, several stories and young people are not coming forward.
Furthermore, Sunny addressed the broader issue of how cinema is losing its authenticity. He noted that success is now determined by manipulated data rather than the power of a narrative or the excellence of an acting performance.
Recent undertakings by Sunny Deol
Jaat, which was the first Hindi movie by director Gopichand Malineni, featured Sunny Deol in his most recent role. In addition to Randeep Hooda, Saiyami Kher, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Regina Cassandra, Jaat also featured them.
Now, he's working on a follow-up to the 1997 war film Border called Border 2. Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty are all featured in the film, which is helmed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta.
In Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated Ramayana, which also features Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny will also play Hanuman.
