Sunjay's last rites are delayed

According to an NDTV report, Sunjay's funeral may be postponed because of legal procedures related to his American citizenship, according to family sources. Sunjay passed away on June 12 from a heart attack he had while playing polo in the UK.

"The complication arises from the fact that Sunjay was a US citizen who passed away in the UK, leading to an extended legal process before his body can be flown to India for the final rites," the source stated.

The funeral will be held in Delhi, according to Ashok Sachdev, the father of Priya Sachdev, Sunjay's wife, and Sunjay's father-in-law, who spoke to NDTV. "The postmortem is currently underway." "The body will be transported to India for the last rites as soon as the documentation is finished," he added.

Sunjay Kapur, a businessman who died on June 12 during a polo match in England, was the ex-husband of actress Karisma Kapoor and a close friend of Prince William.
