Delhi burial for Sunjay Kapur

According to NDTV, Sunjay's family released a news statement on Wednesday with information about his burial. His final rites are said to take place at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

A prayer gathering will take place at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi between 4 and 5 p.m. on June 22, according to a letter that is now circulating on social media. His mother, Rani Surinder Kapur, his wife, Priya, Safira, and Azarias all signed the letter. Additionally, the note lists the names of his children with his ex-wife Karisma: Kiaan and Samaira.

The update follows multiple family insiders revealing that Sunjay's funeral was postponed due to legal procedures pertaining to his American citizenship.

The funeral will be held in Delhi, according to Ashok Sachdev, Sunjay's father-in-law and father of his wife Priya Sachdev, who spoke to NDTV. "The postmortem is currently underway. Once the paperwork is complete, the body will be brought to India for the last rites," he said.

Sunjay Kapur passes away from a heart attack

While playing polo in England on June 12, Sunjay Kapur, the former spouse of actress Karisma Kapoor and a close acquaintance of Prince William, passed away. The first accounts stated that the 53-year-old Sunjay passed away from a heart attack he had while playing polo. A strange bee sting accident, according to later accounts, was the cause of the heart attack. However, the reason for the death has not yet been formally declared.
