Raju's death while performing a car overturning sequence was verified by Vishal on his X (previously Twitter) account. “So hard to accept that stunt performer Raju died this morning while doing a car toppling sequence for Jammy (@arya_offl) and @beemji Ranjith’s movie,” he said. Raju has carried out several dangerous feats in my movies over the years, and I have known him for a long time. He was a really courageous individual. My deepest condolences, and may his soul find rest.

In addition to conveying his sorrow, Vishal also promised to provide long-term assistance to Raju's family. "May God grant his family greater strength in their significant loss." Raju was a well-known, experienced stunt performer in the Kollywood business, famed for his daring approach to dangerous action scenarios. He received compliments for his talent, commitment, and bravery throughout his career working on many films, from both performers and directors.

It is said that the movie he was producing at the time of the event is the sequel to the 2021 Tamil sports drama Sarpatta Parambarai, which is anticipated to be released in theaters in 2026.
