Actress Kareena Kapoor discussed the well-known stabbing incident involving her husband Saif Ali Khan, downplaying the incident and saying that she didn't want to burden her children, Taimur and Jeh, with her anxieties.

While at We For the first time, Kareena discussed the stabbing incident in The Women. "I'm still sort of having trouble figuring out what it does to see someone there in your child's room," Kareena stated. You rarely hear about such occurrences in Mumbai. It is extremely prevalent in the United States. We have never truly heard of such occurrences in Mumbai. We haven't reached a complete agreement yet. I haven't, at least. The first few months were really stressful. It was tough to fall asleep and return to that sort of normalcy.

When questioned about how she handled the traumatic experience, she responded. “I don't want my kids to live in that fear because it's also wrong to put that stress on them,” Kareena added after. Thus, it has been a challenging process to go from being fearful and anxious to accepting the fact that I am both a wife and a mother. It was a mixture of knowing that this is what I have to somehow cope with. I'm simply glad and thankful to God that we're all right.

Kareena described how her son, Jeh, believes Saif Ali Khan, her husband, is a "Batman or Iron Man." Because her children have seen her father "being attacked," she hopes they will develop a different kind of resilience. She continued by saying that they are undoubtedly more resilient as a group.

Regarding the assault by Saif Ali Khan

After being assaulted at his house in Mumbai's Bandra early on January 16, Saif was taken to a hospital for plastic and spinal surgery. On January 21, the actor was released. Upon arriving to Lilavati Hospital, the physicians there told him that he was leaking cerebrospinal fluid. After arriving, he was transferred to the intensive care unit after undergoing a five-hour procedure. The actor's body was removed of a piece of the knife. Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, who broke into his home with the intention of stealing, was later found to be the intruder.
