When it comes to her everyday appearance and attire, Namrata Shirodkar likes to maintain things as simple as possible. The actor and former beauty queen, however, dressed to kill on Saturday as she attended the 72nd Miss World competition in Hyderabad.

Sitara and Namrata's glamorous evening out

With her daughter Sitara, Namrata, who won the title of Miss India in 1993, was present at the ceremony. She posted a lot of selfies on Sunday with other visitors, such as ex-Miss World Manushi Chillar and actor Sonu Sood.

Namrata, a member of the jury, sported a chic updo and a peach-pink ensemble. Sitara, her daughter with actor Mahesh Babu, also sported beautiful makeup along with her red attire.

About 72nd Miss World

India hosted the Miss World event for the third time. The inaugural Miss World competition took place in Bengaluru in 1996, two years after Aishwarya Rai won the title in 1994, and the 71st Miss World was held in Delhi and Mumbai last year.

The winner was Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand. The third runner-up was Aurelie Joachim of Martinique, while the second runner-up was Maja Klajda of Poland, and the first runner-up was Ethiopia's Hasset Dereje. India was unable to break into the top eight.

Together with Indian host Sachiin Kumbhar, Stephanie del Valle (Miss World 2016) served as the grand finale's host. Sonu Sood received the Miss World Humanitarian Award from Rana Daggubati.

The other jurors are Telangana Special Chief Secretary (Tourism) Jayesh Ranjan, Manushi Chillar (the victor of Miss World 2017), and Sudha Reddy, who will serve as the Global Ambassador for Beauty With a Purpose in 2025.

The panel was led by Julia Morley CBE, the chairman of Miss World, who also revealed the winner of the 72nd Miss World.
