Sonali Bendre, who co-starred with him in Hum Saath Saath Hain, told ANI in a recent interview that she didn't form a close relationship with him during the picture, but she later came to value his compassionate nature when he repeatedly checked in on her during her cancer treatment in New York.

During the production of Hum Saath Saath Hain, Sonali confessed that she and Salman weren't the best of friends, noting that she was frequently irritated by his mischievous nature. She remembered how Salman used to pull faces at her from behind the camera, which she found repulsive back then.

Nonetheless, she changed her opinion of the celebrity after seeing his care during her sickness. “Salman is like a child, and everything about him is to the extreme — even his care and concern,” she said. The same individual who was pulling faces behind the camera made two trips to New York to check on me while I was sick. He also gave me my husband, Goldie [Behl], and asked, 'Are you sure you have the right doctors? You should speak to these doctors too,' and even shared contacts."

"He was simply so invested and wanted to ensure everything was being done correctly," she said. He wanted to ensure that we had completed all of the requirements. He acted as if he were the fraternity's elder, seeing to it that all was in order. He was at peace after being persuaded that we had made the best decision given the circumstances. However, he demonstrated his genuine compassion and caring in this way. Despite our problems, I've come to value that aspect of him.

Hum Saath Saath Hain captivated viewers with Salman and Sonali's chemistry. The two appear to have a nice relationship off-screen, even though they haven't shared the screen in several movies. In the interim, Salman will appear in an action movie alongside Sanjay Dutt and will also have a cameo appearance in the Saudi film 7 Dogs. In contrast, Sonali has not yet made any public statements about her future endeavors.
