Zaheer Iqbal and Sonakshi Sinha celebrated their charming love tale by posting their first wedding anniversary on June 23. With charming postings and entertaining videos displaying their exciting chemistry, the pair frequently interact with their followers. However, the details of the beginning of their connection are not well known. As it turns out, Salman Khan was instrumental in bringing the pair together in an unexpected way.

Salman is to be thanked for bringing Zaheer and Sonakshi together.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Sonakshi disclosed that she first met Zaheer at a gathering hosted by Salman. Salman acted more like a "sutradhar," even if he wasn't officially a matchmaker. "He was obviously very happy (about our wedding). We met because of him, so credit where it's due; he really likes us both, Sonakshi stated.

After that initial meeting, Zaheer and Sonakshi immediately got along. She told him how she felt within a week. The pair maintained their relationship a secret for around eight years, despite their connection, before getting married on June 23 of last year, exactly 11 years after they first met.

After the small ceremony at Sonakshi's Mumbai house, there was a lavish reception attended by Bollywood celebrities like Rekha, Tabu, Kajol, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Salman Khan, Honey Singh, and Huma Qureshi.

Upcoming ventures for Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi is prepared to make her comeback to the big screen professionally with Nikita Roy, a supernatural drama helmed by her brother Kussh S Sinha. On June 27, the movie, which co-stars Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal, will be released.

Gulshan Devaiah and Sonakshi will be appearing in the second season of the Amazon Prime Video series Dahaad, which she recently discussed. The crime thriller, created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, takes place in Rajasthan, where two police officers solve the case of 27 missing women.
