Sona Comstar has provided an update on the selection of his successor, the next chairman of the group. The company was formerly headed by the late Sunjay Kapur. Following Sunjay's unexpected death last week, the organization has announced its leadership, as well as its intentions for the near term.

Sona Comstar's Note

"The Board of Directors regrets the untimely demise of Mr. Sunjay Kapur, the erstwhile Chairman of Sona Comstar, and expresses its condolences to Mr. Kapur's family," their official press note began, paying tribute to Sunjay. The Company's governance and performance will remain guided and inspired by his vision, values, and commitment to quality.”

It also provided details on the current team leadership and the process for choosing the next chairman. "Since 2019, the Company's Board of Directors has had a professional management team led by its Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Vivek Vikram Singh." "Under the Board's oversight, we have complete confidence in the management team's capacity to guide the Company. In due course, the Company's Board of Directors will convene to appoint a new chairman."

The firm further stated, "We would like to re-assure our customers, business partners, employees, and shareholders that it is business as usual at the Company, and that no changes in management are envisaged."

Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited (Sona Comstar), a mobility technology firm, was established in 1995 and is based in Gurugram, India. According to their press statement, it is a global supplier with manufacturing and assembly plants, research and development centers, and engineering capability centers located throughout India, the United States, Serbia, Mexico, and China.

Regarding the unexpected passing of Sunjay Kapur

Reports say that Kapur had a heart attack during a polo game. He was fifty-three years old.

Unjay was Karisma Kapoor, an actress, former spouse. The pair welcomed two children: Kiaan, their son, in 2011, and Samaira, their daughter, in 2005.

Karisma and Sanjay sought a mutual consent divorce in 2014, and it was completed in 2016.

Sunjay wed Priya Sachdev following the divorce.

Suhel Seth, an actor and friend of Sunjay Kapur, verified to ANI on Thursday that Sunjay Kapur had passed away from a heart attack, supposedly after ingesting a bee while playing polo in England.
