On June 20, at last, Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan's most anticipated film, was released. According to the OTTplay review of Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan demonstrated modesty in the movie by allowing the genuine stars—his neurodivergent team—to take center stage and shine the brightest. Additionally, it said, "It's less about déjà vu from Taare Zameen Par and more about a man-cosmic child's crash course in empathy."

In the meantime, the movie follows Gulshan (Aamir Khan), a disgraced basketball coach who, following his dismissal for unprofessional behavior, is assigned to teach a group of people with intellectual impairments as part of his community service. Gulshan gains essential life skills from his pupils and experiences a personal metamorphosis in the movie, which deals with themes of freedom, inclusion, and the redefinition of normality.

The 2023 Hollywood movie Champions is based on the same 2018 Spanish film, Champions, which Sitare Zameen Par is a remake of.

In addition to Aamir and Genelia, the cast includes 10 new faces: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
