Sidarth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, one of Bollywood's most beloved couples, recently adopted parenthood when they gave birth to their baby on July 16. An old video of Sidharth discussing how his mother had always wanted a girl in the family has now reappeared online.

Sid Malhotra stated that his mother had always wanted a granddaughter.

In order to promote his movie Mission Majnu, the actor spoke with Zakir Khan for Netflix. Sidarth responded to Zakir's remark during the interview that his mother always wanted a female child by saying, "Yeh same complaint meri maa bhi karti hai." Because my father and I were also two brothers, she used to tell me to get married and have children. My older brother also has a son. My mother always believes that I should get married. My mother makes the same complaint, thus there is still hope. She would tell us two brothers and my father, "At least one of you get married and get kids." Since my older brother has a son, my mother always believes that at least one of us ought to have a girl. She continues to have hope)."

Sidarth and Kiara shared the news of their impending first child in February. The pair announced the birth of their little girl on Instagram on Wednesday. Our hearts are overflowing, and our planet has undergone a lasting transformation. We are fortunate to have a daughter," the message said.
